Distinguish between the two types of Hazmat Technicians. 3. Differentiate between the various types of Hazmat Specialists. 4. Understand the distinctions between public and private sector Incident Commanders. 5. Recognize the training and experience levels required for First Responders at the Awareness level. 6. Identify the goals and limitations of First Responders at the Awareness level.

By the end of this section, you should be able to: 1. Explain different types of recognition clues; 2. Describe how these clues help determine potential hazards; and 3. Describe various marking systems used to identify potential hazards.
